POLYTECH
GmbH, Germany, has always been a freestanding, independent and legally
responsible manufacturing company since 1986. Research &
Development, Regulatory, Quality, Sterilization, and Executive
Management departments are and have always been located in Germany. We
have developed the products in Germany and have had them 3rd-party
manufactured at other sites for convenience. Innovation and safety of
the products have always been of utmost importance to the company.
Therefore, all critical steps such as quality management and
sterilization take place in Germany as POLYTECH, and only POLYTECH is
responsible for our products.
POLYTECH was the first company to
receive the European 0-mark approval for recognized quality and safety
of the product in 1995. Only two other companies, both American,
received 0-mark approval that year. In fact, other companies producing
products similar to ours did not receive their approval until three
years later in 1998.
POLYTECH worked tenaciously with DIN
(Deutsche Industrie Norm) and CEN (Comité Européen de Normalisation)
for the reclassification of breast implants from class IIb to class
III. We received confirmation of approval in December 2003, ahead of
the deadline of March 1st, 2004.
POLYTECH has always had
manufacturing capacity in Dieburg, Germany. Last year, when it became
apparent that our 3rd party manufacturer could not supply our
production demand, we became seriously out of stock of the required
products for sale. This was an intolerable situation not only for
POLYTECH but especially for our customers, which forced the decision to
have complete control over production in Germany.
When we made the
decision to manufacture exclusively in Germany, we also took the
opportunity to remold the entire company. This included changing the
name to POLYTECH Health and Aesthetics to reflect more the continued
operation of the new company now and for the future.
We discarded
the old technology lines of products and based on our in-house research
and development we have brought to the market a completely new line of
products implementing the most current technologies. We now provide the
most extensive line of implants in terms of size, shape, and projection
to our customers compared to any other manufacturer of breast implants.
Today, we supply products in 4 shapes, with 4 different projections,
and 18 different sizes for a total of 288 different products in the
Modular System. In addition, this is offered in both a textured
silicone surface and a micropolyurethane surface for another 288
different products. Sizers are offered at every other increasing size
for a total of 144 different sizes and 27 different breast expanders to
fill out the modular range. This enables the physician to pick and
choose the exact implant for their particular patient needs.
It
does not take a lot of insight to determine the amount of work it took
POLYTECH to bring 720 different breast implant products to market
simultaneously. We know that we are on the right track, as the best
form of flattery for a company is to have the competitor copy your
product range!
We have increased the capacity of our production
facilities for the near future and have plans for a new
1200-square-metre production facility on site here in Dieburg. This
should handle our needs for the foreseeable future.
The customer
can now be assured of pro-ducts of the quality "MADE IN GERMANY". The
physician can be assured of a Modular System which provides the largest
range of products in a variety shapes, sizes and projections to fit
every patient need. The distributor can be assured of working with
POLYTECH to continue to be on the cutting edge for product innovation.
